About Ian

Years ago, I set out from the Arctic Ocean with nothing but a tent, a bike, and the idea that maybe, just maybe, the road could save me. I pedaled all the way to the tip of Argentina—15,000 miles down the spine of the Americas.

Since then, I’ve crossed Africa. Australia, Europe. And now, in 2025, I’m riding across Asia—from Afghanistan to Tokyo.

This newsletter is my dispatch from the saddle.

I write to show what the world really looks like, at 10 miles an hour. Border crossings. Remote mountain passes. Strange host families. Long, empty days. I don’t polish it too much—what you read here is raw, personal, and unfiltered. It’s the road, exactly as I find it.

If you want something to shake you out of your algorithm fog, I hope this does it.

Thanks for being here. I’ll see you down the road.
